What a ride the last decade has been!
In the chaos of life, to have realized a dream is a very lucky thing.
So, it’s with many emotions that I find
after almost a decade owning Paris Room,
it feels time for me to retire
and spend more time with my husband and extended family.
My talented colleagues will go on to pursue their dreams
and I am beyond grateful to them for being an integral part of this shared dream.
As we notified guests in early November, our Last Waltz ends Jan. 25.
Our aim has always been to give our guests a little respite from their worries,
with wholesome food cooked to order in our tiny kitchen,
and served with love, and a cocktail menu that has been carefully created.
A toast to our loyal patrons who gave us a chance
and have continued to support us through the Pandemic and well beyond.
I marveled recently as I was working alongside my colleagues
that this little place has these people who make it actually run.
And run really well. And for each person, I could tell you the reasons I care.
Special thanks to Mayor Bruce Akers,
who over a gingerale 11 years ago, said, ‘let’s make this happen!'
Grateful to my husband, Anthony McLorg,
a dreamer who was the architect on the project
and built the bar among so many other jobs.
I’d also like to give special attention to our son Skylar,
my brother Jim McSherry, mentor and friend Gerry Koprowski,
Ace Quinn, Evan Corns, John and Margi O’Brien,
Trish and Chad Salahshour, J. Miller, C. Connor, Tom Shaper,
Louis and Tom Brick, Mort and Caroline McClennan,
and the one-and-only April Mapes.
We are grateful to our guests. Thank you.
